Mid LevelIntellectt Inc is seeking an Automation Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and validating automation systems used in pharmaceutical manufacturing. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards while improving process efficiency, reliability, and data integrity.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, configure, and support automation systems for pharma manufacturing processes
Develop and maintain PLC, SCADA, DCS, and HMI applications
Execute automation lifecycle activities : URS, FDS, SDS, configuration, testing, and deployment
Perform and support CSV (Computer System Validation) activities in compliance with GAMP 5
Ensure systems comply with GMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11 , and data integrity requirements
Troubleshoot automation, control, and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime
Support commissioning, qualification, and validation ( FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ )
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Quality, IT, Engineering)
Maintain automation documentation, SOPs, and change control records
Support audits and inspections by regulatory authorities
Qualification
Required
Experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences automation
Hands-on experience with PLC/SCADA/DCS systems (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, ABB, Emerson, Schneider)
Knowledge of batch processes, cleanroom operations, and pharma equipment automation
Strong understanding of GMP, GAMP 5, CSV, and regulatory compliance
Experience with alarm management, recipe management, and historian systems
Familiarity with industrial networks and protocols (Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus)
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Automation, Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics, or related field)
Preferred
Experience with MES, serialization, track & trace, or data historians
Exposure to DeltaV, PCS7, FactoryTalk, WinCC, iFIX, or similar platforms
Knowledge of cybersecurity in OT environments
Experience supporting regulated inspections and audits
