Responsibilities
Support and enhance underwriting processes across Life Insurance and Annuity products, including Indexed Universal Life (IUL) and Fixed/Indexed Annuities
Map, analyze, and optimize end-to-end underwriting workflows, identifying opportunities for automation and straight-through processing
Define functional requirements for rules engines, workflow tools, data integrations, and legacy/API-based systems
Partner closely with Underwriting, Product, Compliance, and Distribution teams to gather requirements and ensure regulatory and business alignment
Improve data quality, decision accuracy, and cycle times through process and system enhancements
Support integration with key U.S. distribution channels, including independent agents, broker-dealers, FMOs/IMOs, and digital platforms
Contribute to documentation, testing support, and implementation readiness for new capabilities and enhancements
Qualification
Required
4+ years of relevant industry experience within insurance consulting, functional business analysis, or strategic operations roles
Strong knowledge of Life Insurance and Annuity products, including IUL and Fixed / Indexed Annuities
Solid understanding of U.S. life insurance distribution models and channel dynamics
Proven experience translating underwriting and operational needs into functional requirements for technology teams
Experience working in cross-functional environments with Underwriting, Product, Compliance, and Distribution stakeholders
Strong analytical mindset with a focus on process optimization, automation, and data quality
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, delivery-oriented environment
