Responsibilities

Enhance wind farm operations by implementing improvements in daily tasks
Work inside the wind turbine enclosure at an elevated height of 300 feet
Meet the physical demands of the role, including: ladder and stair climbing, prolonged standing and walking, lifting, bending, and twisting, overhead work, pushing, and pulling, exposure to vibration, chemicals, confined spaces, and extreme weather conditions
Maintain composure and clear thinking in stressful or hazardous situations to ensure safety and efficiency
Take on additional roles and responsibilities efficiently to support wind farm operations
Foster teamwork and collaboration by working effectively with colleagues to achieve shared goals. Approach challenges with determination and adaptability to ensure continued success in a demanding environment

Required

High school diploma or equivalent is required
2 or more years' experience in a mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic field preferred
A College degree or equivalent competency in a field related to the work of a wind farm technician ie: electrical / mechanical systems is desirable
Demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment
Must meet body weight restrictions of 265 pounds or less as required by the safety regulations
Must pass a physical administered by a medical practitioner to ensure ability to safely perform the job functions and meet the physical demands of the position
Strong ability to prioritize and plan daily/weekly work with a high level of quality orientation, ability to analyze and resolve problems independently
Hands on experience working with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems including PLC controls and power electronics
Experience interacting with customers at various levels of responsibility within their respective organizations
Traveling (up to 15%) to sites within our district, training facilities in the US, or additional locations is a requirement of the job
Must be eligible to hold a valid Passport and Driver's License
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
