Manager - Global Strategic Sourcing (Aerospace & Defense)

They are seeking an experienced Global Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead procurement strategy for their Aerospace & Defense division, focusing on supplier sourcing, risk management, and driving innovation.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute long-term sourcing strategies for key categories (e.g., avionics, composites, machined parts)
Identify, select, onboard, and manage relationships with strategic suppliers
Lead complex contract negotiations (Master Agreements, Statements of Work)
Drive cost reduction and value optimization initiatives
Mitigate supply chain risks and ensure regulatory compliance (ITAR, AS9100)
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Legal, Finance, and Program Management
Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular business reviews
Support new product development and launch readiness
Uphold confidentiality, ethics, and compliance with all laws and regulations
Foster continuous improvement and lean transformation in procurement processes
Share best practices and support team development within the strategic sourcing group
Qualification
Required
20+ years' experience in global strategic sourcing, preferably in Aerospace & Defense
Proven expertise in supplier selection, risk management, contract negotiation, and financial analysis
Strong relationship management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Demonstrated success in driving change and building stakeholder credibility
Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office (Excel), and MS Projects; Microsoft Dynamix is an asset
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field
