EHS Engineer*

Solventum is a new healthcare company focused on innovative solutions to improve lives and support healthcare professionals. The EHS Engineer role involves ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety standards while developing and implementing EHS improvement plans and providing training and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

Providing technical expertise & training on all aspects of the site’s Environmental, Health & Safety Compliance efforts to include Management of Change (MOC), Ergonomics, Industrial Hygiene, Fall Protection, LOTO & Machine Guarding and Emergency Response
Developing appropriate documentation lab systems to comply with Solventum requirements for OSHA, EHS Management Systems and other programs as required
Coaching and mentoring research developers, engineers and supervision leading or supporting EHS improvement projects, program development and related activities
Providing technical assistance and guidance to the site by leading or assisting in committee teams and meetings, including lab safety, biosafety, chemical hygiene, EHS regulatory interpretations
Audits laboratory safety and other site processes to assure compliance with Solventum/OSHA policies regarding issues such as: Management of Change, Industrial Hygiene, Confined Space Entry/Rescue, Lockout/Tagout

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND two (2) years of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) experience within in a private, public, government or military environment
High School Diploma/GED from AND six (6) years of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) experience within in a private, public, government or military environment
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)

Preferred

Bachelor's degree or higher in an Environmental, Health and Safety discipline from an accredited institution
R&D knowledge and experience
Experience in Health Care products
Knowledge in liquid dispensing, automated assembly, and chemical handling
Demonstrated experience to analyze problems, diagnose root cause, and apply corrective actions
Demonstrated organization and communication skills, written and oral
Results oriented with strong process and execution skills
