Trimble Technician

Tri-City Electrical Contractors, Inc. is dedicated to achieving excellence through the growth of their employee-owners. The Trimble Technician will operate and maintain Trimble technology on construction projects to improve efficiency and accuracy, collaborating closely with project teams to ensure effective utilization of the technology.

Responsibilities

Operate Trimble systems, including GPS, total station, and 3D laser scanning, to perform construction layout, as-built surveys, and machine control
Work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure that Trimble technology is utilized effectively to meet project goals and timelines
Set up and calibrate Trimble equipment on construction sites
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of Trimble equipment to ensure proper function and longevity
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise with Trimble systems
Collaborate with other team members to integrate Trimble technology with other construction technologies
Attend training sessions and stay up-to-date on new Trimble software and hardware
Using a tape measure, check known reference points to verify layout is accurate
Use/install stakes or other methods to identify layout points

Required

Strong technical skills and ability to learn Trimble software and hardware
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of National Electrical Codes
Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods), negotiations, engineering, cost control schedules, and safety
Must possess a valid Florida Driver's license in good standing to meet the company's driving requirements
Knowledge of basic mathematical operations and calculations (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, order of operations) to calculate labor, materials, and/or cost estimates for projects and work orders, etc
Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and communicate in the English language at a 12th-grade level

Preferred

Two plus (2+) years within the construction industry
Beginner experience with AccuBid, Bluebeam, Autodesk, and Plangrid
OSHA 10
Bilingual
