Responsibilities

Create and update facility drawings and schematics for mechanical and electrical systems. Applicant must be proficient in AutoCAD
Perform field verifications and measurements of existing mechanical equipment serving heating, air-conditioning and exhaust systems
Perform HVAC system equipment labeling and enter systems into the Maintenance management system (Maximo)
Verify the heating and air-conditioning computer control graphics represent actual field conditions
Create AutoCAD drawing templates for HVAC projects

Required

Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering
Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2026 (May 27th – July 31st, 2026) with a graduation date of December 2026 or later
Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity
Be willing to work at the posted job location
High level of technical interest
Ability to learn, develop and advance technical skills in design and system integration
Ability to use experimentation to develop basic process knowledge, design prototype test systems, and perform proof of principle testing to validate design approach
Ability to work in a team-based environment and contribute to a highly matrixed project team
Self-starter with a positive attitude
Sound problem solving and decision making processes and skills
Results-oriented with a high commitment level
Proficient in Auto CAD MEP
