CIBC US is building a relationship-oriented bank for the modern world and is seeking an Analyst for their Syndications team. The role involves assisting the CLO desk with client analysis, maintaining blotters, and collaborating with the Warehouse Team in Toronto to enhance client relationships and impact the desk’s P&L.

Responsibilities
Follow and analyze CLO Market
Learn CLO Documentation
Work with the sales force to meet clients, and build relationships
Work with structuring leads to learn about different CLO Deal structures
Work with managers to analyze portfolios
Learn how to come up with price talk
Work with Syndicate Head to achieve optimal results on our deals
Help differentiate CIBC and elevate our research profile
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate or graduate degree in related field (Economics, Finance, Business, Computer Science)
Series 7 and 63 is required
Thorough understanding of the financial markets and market influences, including general current affairs
Ability to deal with the inherent conflict between the sales and trading functions, and maintain a strong position in the face of opposition
Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with clients and staff
Ability to relay complex news/developments in a concise/clear manner
Ability to work under pressure
