Application Engineer – Power Electronics

As an Application Engineer – Power Electronics, you will serve as the technical expert supporting customers and internal engineering groups, driving product adoption and ensuring customer success.

Responsibilities
Act as the technical lead for assigned key accounts and serve as the primary factory liaison
Provide pre-sales and post-sales application support, including demos, design-in assistance, and troubleshooting
Support new product introductions, testing and validating performance in customer applications
Partner closely with R&D and Product Management to resolve product issues and influence future designs
Deliver technical training, support product launches, and participate in trade shows
Create customer-facing materials such as application notes, presentations, and success stories
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
1+ years of experience in Field Application Engineering, Application Engineering, or product support for power electronics
Hands-on experience with power electronic products: AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC converters, chargers, motor drives
Working knowledge of thermal management solutions (fans, liquid cooling, pumps, solenoids)
Ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions and advocate internally
Strong communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Willingness to travel 20–30%
US Citizen or Green Card holder (no visa sponsorship)
Preferred
Strong foundation in power electronics and system-level applications
Familiarity with thermal technologies including axial fans, EC fans, liquid cooling systems, pumps, and solenoids
Exposure to industries such as: Industrial automation, Energy and utilities, Agriculture and off-road vehicles, Medical devices, CNC machines, packaging, food & beverage, Oil & gas, logistics, lighting
Ability to balance deep technical expertise with commercial awareness
Comfortable working directly with customers while collaborating internally
Highly organized with strong project management and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated, adaptable, and driven to take ownership of outcomes
