New Business Development
Prosponsive Logistics is a transportation brokerage headquartered in Atlanta, seeking a driven individual for a New Business Development role in Athens, GA. The role focuses on customer account growth and achieving maximum sales profitability through effective sales strategies and relationship-building with prospective customers.
Responsibilities
Promotes/sells/secures new orders from prospective customers through a relationship-based approach focusing on selling core services, primary objective growing revenue
Insures and provides quality service to both internal and external customers
Defines services to potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs, staying relevant and forward-thinking to satisfy all logistic solutions
Collaborate with Account Manager to ensure existing customer base is maintained properly and prevent accounts from becoming inactive, by maintaining relationships through regular involvement
Stay informed of market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and ongoing lead prospecting
Responsible for achieving weekly goals and KPIs, including a minimum of 100 outbound calls daily
Make telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to prospective customers; utilize management team when needed
Develop new sales revenue opportunities via inactive and active accounts
Research sources for developing new customers; determining qualified prospects
Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for prospective customers
Meet minimum sales activity requirements and track all activities in CRM
Coordinate sales efforts with all other departments and maintain updated communication within our CRM
Supply management with oral and written updates within CRM for all customer needs, problems, competitive activities and track potential for new customers and services

Contacting and securing new business accounts and customers
Initiating and implementing corrective action to maintain service standards
Ability to promote, sell, and secure new orders from prospective customers
Providing quality service to both internal and external customers
Defining services to potential customers and assisting them in selecting suitable options
Collaborating with Account Manager to maintain existing customer base
Staying informed of market conditions, competitive activities, and promotional trends
