Commercial Litigation Associate

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on a wide range of commercial litigation issues
Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
Manage discovery processes, including drafting and responding to written discovery, and preparing for and conducting depositions
Assist in developing case strategies and litigation plans in collaboration with senior attorneys
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts
Attend and participate in court hearings, conferences, and trials
Analyze and interpret relevant laws, regulations, and case law
Negotiate settlements and explore alternative dispute resolution methods
Work collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management
Maintain organized and up-to-date case files
Keep abreast of the latest developments in commercial litigation law and procedure

Qualification

Juris Doctor (JD)Commercial litigation experienceLegal research skillsCivil procedure knowledgeWriting skillsCommunication skillsInterpersonal skillsTeamworkAttention to detailWork ethic

Required

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Admitted to practice law in PA. NJ is a plus
Experience in commercial litigation, preferably in a law firm setting
Strong understanding of civil procedure and rules of evidence
Exceptional legal research, analytical, and writing skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong work ethic, professionalism, and attention to detail
