Law Clerk
The Commonwealth of Kentucky's Department of Public Advocacy is hiring a Law Clerk to assist the criminal defense team in the Paducah Trial Office. The role involves providing legal research and writing support, interviewing clients, and collaborating with attorneys and staff to ensure fair representation for defendants.

Qualification
Required
Completion of twenty-four semester hours at an American Bar Association accredited law school
Demonstrated a desire to help the most vulnerable in their communities
Exhibits exceptional planning and organizational skills
Self-directed and comfortable working with a defense team which includes attorneys, investigators, alternative sentencing workers and office administrative staff
Preferred
Recently completed all coursework at an ABA accredited law school to receive a JD degree and plans to take the next available bar exam
Recently received their license to practice law
