They are seeking a skilled Electrical Test Engineer to develop, prototype, and build test systems for AR/VR products, focusing on validation and performance characterization throughout the program lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Design and execute the electrical engineering validation and performance characterization of test systems throughout the program lifecycle
Collaborate with test team leads and other stakeholders to align validation and characterization plans and execute against deliverables and schedules
Provide expert root cause analysis and corrective action support to resolve issues
Track validation progress, present data, draft whitepapers, and represent status at design reviews
Maintain and update existing systems, including software, firmware, and mechanics, to improve quality and reliability
Work with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, firmware engineers, and research teams, to solve multi-discipline problems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
4+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a hardware testing environment
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL
Experience with Matlab or similar tools
Proficiency in data visualization tools such as JMP, Tableau, Reliasoft, Power BI, or D3.js
Experience with automated or manual testing systems, including conceptualizing experiments or DOE
Strong electrical engineering fundamentals and troubleshooting skills
Experience with schematic and board design using tools like Cadence Orcad, Altium, or equivalent
Proficiency with standard electrical engineering tools such as oscilloscopes, high-speed digital test equipment, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and function generators
Technical expertise in at least two consumer electronic domains such as power electronics, signal integrity, battery management, RF, audio, or sensor systems
Knowledge of statistical modeling techniques, including regression, hypothesis testing, and confidence intervals
Preferred
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
Experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques
Experience with mechanical test systems and concepts
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS or Azure
Experience defining and coordinating test procedures in lab and factory environments
Familiarity with VR/AR systems or wearable low-power or portable electronic devices
