Business System Analyst
ICON Consultants, LP is seeking a Business Systems Analyst II who will be responsible for formulating recommendations and supporting the implementation of business-aligned systems. This role acts as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT, ensuring effective support for strategic initiatives and daily operations.
Responsibilities
Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of supported business areas to identify, analyze, and document business requirements
Travel periodically to other company locations via air or ground transportation, up to 10 percent of the time
Participate in programming, product development, and ongoing product support for new and existing systems, interfaces, and business processes
Lead and contribute to IT projects that support strategic initiatives and operational needs, with accountability across all phases of the software development lifecycle
In collaboration with IT peers, research and evaluate technical solutions and recommend the most effective and efficient options based on current systems, available technologies, capacity constraints, and desired business outcomes
Assist in the preparation of proposals, system documentation, and recommendations for management and end users
Provide backup support for other IT functions as required
Perform additional duties as assigned based on workload and business priorities
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Demonstrated aptitude to learn, develop, document, and implement business systems policies and procedures
Familiarity with relational database management systems, including Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Access
Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to think creatively and analytically
Advanced math and reading comprehension skills
