Responsibilities
Process outpatient hospital billing and manage collections for commercial insurance accounts
Handle high-volume workload:
+ Billing: ~60 accounts/day (beginning of month)
+ Collections: ~25 accounts/day (mid to end of month)
Review denials and submit appeals promptly
Correct billing errors and verify account details for accuracy
Understand and apply modifiers, reimbursement rules, and contract terms
Work with WellSky (collections) and Anovo (billing) systems
Participate in daily huddles and maintain open communication with management
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 years of outpatient hospital billing and collections experience
Strong knowledge of commercial insurance billing for therapy services (physical, speech, occupational)
Ability to read and interpret contracts and identify discrepancies
Preferred
Familiarity with ASC billing is a plus
Stable work history (2+ years in previous roles preferred)
