Responsibilities

Works as part of a digital design (BIM) team to achieve consistent results, quality, and model organization
Convert and/or recreate legacy drawings (plans, sections, details, schedules) into BIM models with clear traceability to source documents
Develops and maintains model structure (views, sheets, work sets, parameters, naming conventions) in alignment with project standards and execution plans
Supports BIM data management and administration tasks (file structure, publishing, model health, versioning, archiving)
Performs routine QA/QC to validate geometry accuracy, completeness, and standards compliance (model audits, coordination checks, documentation alignment)
Assists project teams in troubleshooting (“help desk”) issues related to Revit workflows, work-sharing, model performance, and deliverable packaging
Coordinates task-level scope, priorities, and production targets with the BIM/VDC lead and Project Manager; communicates progress and constraints
Interfaces with DFW Airport stakeholders and project teams to clarify intent, confirm standards, and validate modeling assumptions from legacy documents
Supports coordination deliverables as needed (model exports, coordination views, clash/issue support using coordination tools)
Maintains professional communication and responsiveness consistent with an on-airport client environment (schedule-driven, security-aware, quality-focused)
Stays current on BIM/VDC trends and best practices and recommends workflow improvements that increase accuracy, speed, and consistency

Required

No degree required (degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Technology, or related field is encouraged)
Demonstrated experience converting 2D drawings to BIM and producing consistent model deliverables
Strong working knowledge of BIM concepts: model organization, parameters, families, LOD expectations, and documentation workflows
Proficiency with BIM/VDC tools, including Autodesk Revit (required), AutoCAD (preferred/strongly desired), Navisworks Manage / coordination platforms (preferred), BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (preferred), Bluebeam Revu or similar (preferred)
Strong attention to detail and ability to validate model accuracy against source drawings
Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
Clear written/verbal communication skills; able to work effectively with multi-discipline teams
Ability to obtain and maintain airport access/badging if required (as applicable)
