This role involves creating weekly load schedules, resolving loading issues, and ensuring continuous improvement of shipping office processes.

Responsibilities
Trains and supervises all shipping office functions, including closing out trucks, creating shipping paperwork, end of shift reporting, and yard audits
Works with DC operations to ensure loading plan aligns with shipping plan
Reviews loading accuracy of DC operations prior to closing out trailers
Supports shipping coordinator in secondary functions of route planning, store support, and other transportation department functions
Responsible for continuous improvement of shipping office processes
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualification
Required
2 or more years shipping office or transportation experience preferred
High School diploma or GED strongly preferred; combination of education and experience may be considered
Proficient in basic computer skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
RF scanning proficient
Must operate in compliance with all company policies
Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced environment
Must be highly motivated and a self-starter and be able to work independently as well as with others in a cooperative team environment
Must be able to problem solve
Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods of time as needed
Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
Ability to lift and handle cases in a variety of sizes and weights
Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse/distribution center setting
