This role involves maintaining accurate property-level financials, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Responsibilities
Maintain property-level general ledgers and supporting schedules
Prepare and post journal entries and month-end accruals
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations
Ensure accurate coding of income and expenses by property
Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Record and reconcile rental income, CAM recoveries, and tenant billings
Track and account for lease terms, escalations, and reimbursements
Support lease abstraction and rent roll reconciliations
Oversee accounts payable and receivable related to property operations
Review invoices for proper coding and approval
Monitor collections, aging reports, and cash applications
Support internal controls and accounting procedures
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy within accounting workflows
Assist with system implementations and reporting enhancements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Strong accounting background with experience in real estate accounting
Knowledge of property-level accounting, lease structures, and expense recoveries
Experience with real estate accounting systems and ERP platforms
Proficiency in Excel
