Responsibilities
Understand, support, and implement Automation Solutions’ best practices and preferred product initiatives
Prepare cost estimates and proposals related to UL 508 and NFPA 79 controls, custom automated machinery, and material handling equipment
Accurately define labor hours, material costs, and outside service costs for parts, assemblies, and tooling
Collaborate with vendors to obtain technical details and pricing to ensure proper component selection
Assist in defining project scope and objectives, including design considerations, with relevant stakeholders
Manage changes to project scope, schedules, and costs in coordination with sales and engineering teams
Acquire customer approvals and change orders when required
Meet quote deadlines, including expedited customer requests
Present technical information clearly and professionally to customers and internal teams
Follow up on submitted quotes and manage quote requests within the pipeline
Perform hands-on engineering support as needed to complete projects
Utilize software such as JobBOSS, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks to review drawings and generate accurate quotes
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in electronics, engineering, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in electrical controls programming, production, or related manufacturing environments
Prior experience with costing, estimating, or proposal development
Strong understanding of electro-mechanical components used in automation and machinery
Preferred
Some project management experience is strongly preferred
