This hands-on position involves building out the firm's security awareness program and third-party risk management framework while collaborating with various teams to enhance security culture and compliance.
Responsibilities
Implement BAM's Security Awareness vision and strategy across all business units
Develop and maintain security awareness training programs tailored to different roles and risk profiles
Collaborate between technology, business, and vendor management teams to ensure proper risk assessment and security controls
Enhance cyber security culture through innovative awareness campaigns and educational initiatives
Design and implement repeatable, efficient processes for Information Security operations
Collaborate between technology and business teams to drive proper implementation of security controls and compliance requirements across the firm
Design, develop, and deliver security awareness training content and programs
Conduct third-party security assessments, including vendor questionnaires, security reviews, and ongoing monitoring
Triage, investigate, and remediate information security alerts as needed
Perform vendor security risk assessments and due diligence reviews
Support threat hunting exercises and security incident investigations
Develop metrics and reporting for security awareness program effectiveness and third-party risk posture
Partner with procurement, legal, and business teams on vendor onboarding and contract security requirements
Create engaging security awareness materials (presentations, newsletters, simulations, etc.)
Manage security awareness campaigns, including phishing simulations and training tracking
Maintain runbooks for security investigations and incident response procedures
Keep up with industry trends in security awareness methodologies and third-party risk management best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in cybersecurity, computer science or closely related field
5+ years information security background with SOC experience
Strong understanding of networking, operating systems and applications
Experience with security platforms, including SIEM and EDR systems
Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and frameworks
Experience with security awareness programs or training delivery
Understanding of vendor risk assessment processes and third-party security evaluation
Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, etc.)
Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences
Ability to translate technical security concepts into business-friendly language
Experience with documentation and process development
Basic scripting abilities (Python and/or PowerShell)
Preferred
Previous experience in security awareness, training, or education roles
Hands-on TPRM or vendor risk management experience
Hands-on experience using Splunk and/or EDR tools
Knowledge of financial services industry regulations
Experience with security awareness platforms
Information Security certifications (CISSP, CISA, CRISC, SANS, etc.)
Public speaking or training delivery experience
