Responsibilities
Provides accounts payable support including entering/posting approved invoices and managing pay application integration with third party billing system (Textura)
Reviews and ensure compliance with subcontractor insurance and licensing
Reviews and accurately completes credit applications
Coordinates accounts receivable functions including billing and lien waivers
Tracking and follow up to ensure AR payments are received by due date
Sets up subcontractors’ commitments and change orders
Provides equipment tracking on job sites for billing
Enters Journal Entries
Assists with project specific reporting and analysis
Assists project staff with issues regarding subcontract pay application and schedule of values
Assists with month end close
May perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
Self-starter – growing department with potential to influence policies and procedures
Experience billing with AIA G702/703 pay applications
Analytical skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and in a team environment, able to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines
Flexible – desire to learn
Experience tracking and obtaining subcontractor lien waivers
Familiarity with reviewing subcontracts
ERP savvy – can manipulate systems to produce queries, reporting, journal entries, etc
Beginner to Intermediate Excel knowledge (formula functions, pivot tables, data grooming, etc.)
2-5 years of related accounting in the construction industry
Preferred
Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Experience with CMiC software is highly desired
