Responsibilities
Review monthly financial reports prepared by third-party property managers, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting practices, and alignment with budget
Monitor property performance metrics including NOI, tenant receivables, capital transactions, and cash flow projections
Conduct periodic audits such as recovery income, lease administration, real estate tax, and property management expenses
Assist with quarterly and annual closes, including preparation of financial statements, debt covenants, investor/consultant reports, and NCREIF deliverables
Coordinate with external audit and tax teams to meet reporting deadlines
Prepare management fee calculations, forecasts, bank reconciliations, and fund-level wire/draw requests
Support ad hoc projects, acquisitions, and dispositions with accurate financial entries and analysis
Qualification
Required
2+ years of accounting experience required
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting strongly preferred
Public accounting and real estate accounting experience strongly preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Yardi experience a plus
Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
Exceptional communication, organizational, and prioritization abilities
