Responsibilities
Lead accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll administration, and financial reporting
Ensure payroll is properly funded by monitoring cash flow, coordinating with banks, and managing payroll accounts
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accuracy and timeliness
Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models to guide strategic decisions
Oversee inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure GAAP compliance
Partner with supply chain, warehouse, and retail operations teams to align financial reporting with KPIs
Drive ERP/accounting system improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals
Prepare financial statements and reports for executives, auditors, and external stakeholders
Manage banking relationships, including cash management, credit facilities, and treasury functions
Administer the company’s 401(k) retirement plan, including compliance, reporting, and coordination with plan providers
Lead annual 401(k) audits and ensure adherence to ERISA
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
CPA is required
7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in leadership
Preferred
Background in retail, wholesale, or distribution strongly preferred
