Responsibilities
Partner with hiring managers to manage offers, background checks, and onboarding
Administer leaves of absence, workers’ comp, and employee terminations with care and accuracy
Serve as the go-to HR contact for employees and leaders in your assigned region(s)
Provide guidance to Regional and District Managers on all HR matters
Manage unemployment claims, workers’ comp documentation, and compliance reporting
Keep HR systems (ADP Workforce Now) accurate and up to date, working closely with Payroll and Accounting
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations, and recommend best practices
Champion our company values and foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in HR or related field
5+ years of HR Generalist experience in a multi-site, multi-state company
Hands-on HR experience in California (required)
ADP Workforce Now – expertise/current knowledge
Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
Proven ability to manage priorities, deadlines, and confidential matters with professionalism
Preferred
SHRM certification (a plus!)
