Responsibilities
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care
Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family
Effectively communicates with the health care team
Demonstrates clinical competence
Works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator when appropriate
Qualification
Required
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation
Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty
Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans
Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel
Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills
Minimum of 6 months as a Registered Nurse required
Phone triage, relaying test results, scheduling tests
Required experience with injections/vaccinations
Experience with BP titration (Blood Pressure titration)
Electronic medical records experience required
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse
Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy
Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Preferred experience in the specialty
EPIC experience preferred
