Responsibilities

Track all Medical Leaves in the GME system to ensure that all appropriate documentation is provided
Notify the employee that we received their medical documentation and that a case manager will be assigned and be in contact within in regard to their leave
Notify the supervisor that we received medical documentation for employees and that they will receive additional information once a case manager reviews the case
Request hours from Time Collection or appropriate source and upload information into GME
Responsible for assigning new medical management cases in GME to the case managers
Explain and distribute appropriate forms to employees for completion depending on the requested Medical Leave
Maintains and analyzes statistics and generates reports on medical leaves of absence
Demonstrate positive customer service and co-worker relationships
Review cases that come into the Employee Relations vanity account and review and follow up with employees for additional information if needed
Follow up on general inquiries from the Employee Relations vanity account to get additional information for the Employee Relations (ER) Specialists
Update any information in GME for ER Specialists
Maintains and analyzes metrics quarterly for ER Specialists
Demonstrate positive customer service and co-worker relationships
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree
A minimum of two (2) years of Administrative or Human Resources experience
Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered
All qualifications must be met by the time of employment
Must be computer literate with demonstrated ability to provide excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to relate effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
Ability to organize resources and establish priorities
Ability to exercise appropriate judgement in sensitive and unique and unpredictable situations
Attention to detail is crucial for accurately collecting and entering data
Ability to work in a fast-paced and confidential environment with the ability to provide high-level administrative support, multi-task and prioritize
Ability to organize workload with close diligence, manage multiple tasks and timelines, and make appropriate decisions following university policies and procedures
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
Empathy and compassion are beneficial when interacting with new employees or clients
