Director of Consumer Marketing
Pro Athlete Community (PAC) is building the world’s most trusted private membership community for professional athletes. This role is responsible for defining how athletes find and engage with PAC, focusing on building a growth engine rooted in credibility and trust. The Director will oversee athlete acquisition, brand narrative, content strategy, and performance analytics to ensure sustainable growth and member engagement.

Responsibilities
Own the athlete acquisition funnel across paid, organic, partnerships, referrals, and events
Hit targets for membership growth, CAC, conversion rates, retention and LTV
Build and continuously optimize PAC’s go-to-market engine for athletes across leagues
Own PAC’s consumer-facing narrative (i.e. positioning, messaging, voice, and storytelling)
Ensure brand consistency across: website, social media, events, partnerships, and sales enablement
Translate PAC’s mission into clear, compelling value propositions that athletes instantly understand
Oversee content strategy across social, video, email, and owned channels
Turn PAC members, events, and stories into mission-driven growth assets
Partner closely with athletes, ambassadors, and creators to drive organic reach
Support internal teams to create and publish content relevant to PAC’s priorities (member-facing content, event content, business development, etc.)
Build systems that scale and measure the effectiveness of content — not one-off heroics
Design and execute user journeys, engagement campaigns, retention and upsell flows
Use data to identify drop-off/friction points and quickly fix them
Help pro athletes understand that membership is indispensable, not a nice-to-have
Partner with our head of analytics to build and operate dashboards and reporting that actually matters
Run experiments relentlessly (i.e. messaging, channels, offers, pricing)
Kill what doesn’t work quickly
Double down on what does, with speed and conviction
Manage a lean, fast, high-output marketing team
Own agency relationships (paid media, creative, and PR as needed)
Set a culture of accountability, speed, authenticity and trust
Qualification
Required
8–12+ years in consumer marketing or growth
Proven ownership of acquisition and lifecycle metrics
Experience scaling a consumer or membership product
Strong cross-functional leadership (product, sales, partnerships)
Preferred
Sports, athlete, or creator economy experience
Experience marketing to high-performing, skeptical audiences
Prior startup or founder-adjacent experience
