Commercial Sales Manager
Chief of Staff KC is seeking a hands-on Sales Manager to lead, coach, and scale their growing sales team. This role involves actively participating in customer meetings and developing sales talent through real-time coaching while driving deal acceleration and performance.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular ride-a-longs with sales reps to support prospecting, discovery, presentations, and closing
Lead by example in live sales situations and customer conversations
Coach reps on objection handling, deal strategy, and value-based selling
Help move deals through the pipeline faster and improve close rates
Identify stalled opportunities and provide hands-on support to advance them
Drive consistent execution of the sales process across the team
Serve as a technical sales resource for the team, reducing reliance on operations and technical staff
Quickly develop strong technical product and solution knowledge
Translate technical concepts into clear business value for customers
Support hiring and onboarding as the team scales from 3 to 4+ reps
Develop reps across skill levels, from new hires to experienced sellers
Establish accountability, performance standards, and sales discipline
Sell directly to building managers, maintenance managers, and facilities decision-makers
Understand customer operational challenges and position solutions accordingly
Build credibility with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Proven success in B2B sales leadership with a strong individual contributor background
Must demonstrate the ability and desire to ramp quickly and deeply to be comfortable owning technical sales conversations without deferring to others
Preferred
Experience in both blue-collar and white-collar sales environments strongly preferred
Track record of selling to building, facilities, or maintenance-focused customers
