Maintenance Engineer PSV HVAC-R (Local 95 Union)

Responsibilities

Investigate, schedule, and plan service outages (including emergencies) when necessary for repair, alteration or additions to systems while not compromising safety or operation of facility operations
Operates, maintain, test, troubleshoots, and repairs high pressure steam system and hot water boilers as well as the steam plant
Operates, maintain, test, troubleshoots, and repairs the pneumatic tube transport system
Responsible for testing, treatment, monitoring, logging/tracking and adjustment of chemical treatment of steam boilers, cooling towers and closed hot water and chilled water systems
Operates, maintain, test, troubleshoots, and repairs medical air and medical vacuum systems
Responsible for 24/7 coverage for the entire hospital. Responsible for investigating all equipment and operational problems on off-shifts, weekends, and holidays
Responsible for setting-up appropriate level of infection control containment (ICRA) based on risk level and maintaining the integrity of that containment
Operates, maintain, test, troubleshoots, and repairs refrigeration equipment, including ice machines and water coolers
Responsible for medical gas inventory and deliveries. Record work orders and submit hours to supervisor on a daily basis
Operates, maintain, test, troubleshoots, and repairs the building management (DDC) system
Perform all work following infection control procedures; maintain clean and safe work areas, equipment rooms and shop areas
Operates, maintain, test, troubleshoots, and repairs HVAC equipment to maintain proper environmental conditions

Required

High school diploma or GED
Any combination of two (2) years trade school background or three (3) years' experience working as a stationary engineer or an HVAC mechanic
Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License

Previous healthcare experience
City of Pittsburgh Stationary Engineer License
EPA Universal Refrigerant License
