Business Operations and Events Manager
Skyline Construction is a leader in commercial interior construction and is seeking a Business Operations & Events Manager to oversee and optimize daily administrative functions in their San Francisco and San Jose offices. This role is essential for ensuring efficient office operations and managing various internal and external events, while also leading the Office Managers to enhance productivity.

Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day responsibilities of Office Managers, including answering phones, checking and triaging voicemails, ordering and stocking office supplies, general office organization and tidiness
Manages the office budgets and day-to-day operations of the San Francisco, San Jose, Walnut Creek and Pleasanton including facilities management, coordination with property management, vender relations and inventory control
Coordinates office moves and expansions between team members and the moving contractors, office supply vendors and IT team
Coordinates client-facing events for the Operations team including in-office happy hours, project completion dinners, and more, including: invitation and client outreach, scheduling, food and beverage, decorations, SWAG coordination with Branding and the presentation of all of the above to create a high-end experience for guests
Coordinates all large company-hosted events for clients
Coordinates Skyline-sponsored industry events in conjunction with the Branding team:
Coordinates all Subcontractor appreciation events
Coordinates Bay Area Women’s Network events
Leads quarterly / annual philanthropy events for the Bay Area region
Participates in the O-Club leadership
Leads internal teambuilding events like Bootcamp
Leads event planning and scheduling efforts for the summer internship program including jobsite tours, shop tours and the final event presentation and Giants game
Leads the coordination of all companywide and facilitates with clients/employees: Warriors, Giants, Valkyries, etc
Supports Sales team events and experiences as time permits
Owns the master Bay Area regional calendar of all events and trainings. Short and long term calendar management of all training programs for the region, ensuring that trainings are spaced out to avoid the strain on Operations schedules taking into consideration: strategic planning, team offsites (Project Manager retreat, emerging leaders training), pitch training, safety training, field meetings, client-offsites, etc
Supports Operations in all aspects of their training program including ongoing refresh courses and subcontractor lunch and learns, ensuring adequate attendance
Facilitates event details and management for all trainings:
Scheduling support and facilitation around recruiting and candidate interviews, college recruiting career fair communication and organization with various schools
Coordinates gifts for employee milestones including weddings, babies, anniversaries, and some personal touch gifts to clients
Celebrates and promotes when people become 100% vested via tracking and communication
Takes on special projects as needed
Qualification
Required
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the areas of business operations and events planning
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communications or Business Administration
Demonstrated people-management experience
Cross-departmental collaboration, delegation and facilitation

Strong organization and problem-solving skills
Ability to take initiative, work independently and make decisions
Strong write and oral communication skills
Proficiency with entire Microsoft suite and quick to pick up technology
