Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
Assist with monthly and annual closing process, financial reporting and audit
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis
Oversee and manage submitting reimbursements to state DOTs for Federal Funded projects
Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounting systems and processes
Perform other related duties as required
Qualification
Required
B.S. in Accounting, Finance or Business
Proven experience as an Assistant Controller or in a similar role
Solid understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting
Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
