Responsibilities
Inspect & Identify: Visually check items for flaws (cracks, corrosion, dimension issues) using naked eye, gauges, micrometers, borescope and microscopes
Compare to Standards: Verify products meet specifications, work instructions, or cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices)
Document & Report: Record inspection results and track samples
Sort & Rework: Mark defective items for repair, salvage, or scrap, and sometimes perform minor corrections with tools
Maintain: Keep work area clean, organized, and follow all safety policies
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, due to contractual requirements
Preferred
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Ability to read and follow technical documents (Standard Operating Procedures, blueprints)
Good communication skills to report issues
Familiarity with quality control processes
