2+ years expPOLITICO is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Associate with excellent communication and organization skills. The role involves managing the Accounts Payable process, ensuring timely execution of day-to-day activities, and maintaining vendor relationships.

Responsibilities
Manage the Accounts Payable process from supplier set up to payment settlements
Set up suppliers in system including contact data, banking data and W9’s
Process invoices received from business including coding to correct approval flow and coding for accounting purposes
Preparing payment batches, gathering the necessary approvals, and finalizing the settlement runs
Respond to vendor inquiries, reconcile vendor statements, research and resolve discrepancies
Respond to internal questions, missed invoices or approvals with the business directly
Manage and maintain the Accounts Payable email in box
Create annual 1099’s in compliance with IRS requirements
Assist with month end close process, audit requests and reconciliation process
Provide cash requirement projection reports
Assist with the maintenance of pre-paid accounts and ensure proper and timely (re)classifications
Assist with ad hoc projects as needed for both Accounts Payable and Employee Expense areas
Qualification
Required
2+ years accounts payable experience with demonstrated knowledge into all areas of the AP process
Detail oriented and results driven
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Collaborates well with other teams
Act with integrity and maintain confidentiality
Demonstrate initiative and urgency with reliable follow-through and execution skills
Preferred
Experience with Workday Accounts Payable preferred
Microsoft Dynamics GP and Concur experiences are a plus
