Responsibilities
Inspect, repair, and maintain machinery, mechanical equipment, and building systems
Perform plumbing work, basic electrical repairs and upgrades, and maintain HVAC systems
Repair and construct building structures, including partitions, drywall, plaster, roofs, windows, doors, floors, and painting
Maintain and repair equipment used in cafeterias, laboratories, offices, and factory areas
Troubleshoot and repair electrical switches, lighting, HVAC rooftop units, and unclog drains
Coordinate, schedule, and oversee outside contractors for repairs and facility upgrades
Source and obtain supplies, tools, and repair parts from storerooms or distributors
Use hand and power tools (screwdrivers, drills, saws, wrenches, hammers) and electronic testing equipment to repair or replace worn or damaged parts
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure efficient operation of building systems and equipment
Follow maintenance checklists to inspect motors, drives, belts, fluid levels, filters, and other components
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and completed tasks
Read and interpret service manuals, blueprints, schematics, and written instructions
Use computers to manage work orders, email communication, timesheets, and HVAC control systems
Perform multiple tasks across indoor and outdoor locations and adapt quickly to changing priorities
Work in physically demanding conditions, including prolonged standing, heavy lifting, extreme temperatures, confined spaces, ladders, lifts, and rooftops
Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills
Work independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment and decision-making
Follow safety procedures, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and participate in mandatory safety, compliance, and environmental training
