Responsibilities
Obtain health history and perform physical examinations utilizing medical instruments and equipment
Order or execute various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on a patient’s condition
Analyze reports and findings of tests and examinations, and diagnose condition of patient
Accurately diagnose and treat a wide-range of acute and chronic diseases and injuries
Administer or prescribe treatments and medications appropriate to a patient’s diagnosis
Prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal statutes and professional practice guidelines
Promote health by advising patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease
Prepare records and reports as required in support of services rendered in accordance with established procedures
Counsel patient and, if appropriate, family on diagnosis and treatment plans to ensure understanding and follow-through
Participate in peer review, quality assurance, provider meetings, and other clinical meetings
Make referrals to specialists when appropriate for a patient's condition and treatment
Support health center culture and promote team-based delivery of patient care
Qualification
Required
Primary Care Physician
Focus on either internal medicine or family medicine
Obtain health history and perform physical examinations utilizing medical instruments and equipment
