Sr. Linux Administrator (TS/SCI)
Take2 Consulting, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux Administrator to join their on-site team in San Antonio, TX. The role involves managing and troubleshooting complex Linux environments in secure, mission-critical settings, requiring an active Top Secret/SCI clearance and a strong understanding of system hardening and enterprise-scale deployments.

Responsibilities
Administer, configure, and maintain Linux systems (primarily RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) in a classified, high-availability environment
Perform advanced troubleshooting, performance tuning, and system diagnostics
Manage user accounts, file systems, access controls, and system patches
Automate routine tasks using shell scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
Support system integration, testing, and implementation of new technologies
Monitor system health and ensure compliance with security standards (e.g., STIGs, DISA policies)
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to maintain system integrity and apply security controls
Maintain documentation and contribute to standard operating procedures
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior administrators when necessary
Qualification
Required
Active TS/SCI clearance (must be verifiable and current)
3+ years of hands-on Linux system administration experience
Expert-level command line proficiency (Bash, Vim, system utilities, etc.)
Strong understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, etc.)
Experience with system hardening, patch management, and compliance frameworks
Proficient with automation and scripting tools (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible)
Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, KVM) and enterprise storage solutions
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment
Preferred
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, etc.)
Experience with classified environments, SCIF operations, and related security protocols
Exposure to container technologies (Docker, Podman) or cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, etc.)
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
