Senior LevelProsperity Home Mortgage, LLC (PHM) is seeking a Senior Accountant to support core general accounting operations and assisting with escrow fund activity. This role is critical to maintaining accurate financial records, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring continuity during a planned retirement transition.

Responsibilities
Own day-to-day general accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and period-close support
Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
Provide support and backup for escrow fund activity, including assisting with reconciliations and monitoring balances
Partner with leadership to document accounting processes and support knowledge transfer during the transition period
Support internal and external audits, examinations, and control reviews
Serve as a reliable point of continuity across accounting operations
Perform other accounting and operational duties as assigned
Provide cross-functional support as needed to ensure continuity and controls
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
Strong general accounting experience, including period-close responsibilities
Demonstrated ability to improve processes and work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred
Experience in a regulated or high-volume environment preferred
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Strong financial acumen and understanding of mortgage industry regulations
