Responsibilities

Create and maintain a welcoming, organized, and efficient office environment that reflects the university’s commitment to student flourishing. This role ensures that daily operations run smoothly while fostering a space where students and staff feel supported and valued. Lead and mentor a team of student assistants and interns, providing guidance that promotes professional growth and equips them to deliver exceptional support for student success. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of student interactions, program participation, and outcomes, and prepare detailed reports for leadership that highlight achievements and identify opportunities for improvement
Manage schedules, resources, and office technology to maximize efficiency
Lead and mentor student assistants and interns, fostering professional development and readiness to support student success
Maintain precise records of student interactions and program outcomes; prepare insightful reports for leadership
Design and implement training programs that enhance knowledge and performance, conduct regular evaluations, and offer constructive feedback to promote growth. Responsibilities include managing work schedules to ensure balanced workloads and adequate coverage, accommodating academic commitments, and maintaining compliance with university policies and regulations. Acting as the primary liaison between student staff and other departments, the coordinator will facilitate clear communication, resolve conflicts promptly, and sustain a collaborative, positive work atmosphere

Provide thoughtful and strategic oversight of budgets within the Division of Student Success and Flourishing, ensuring that financial resources are aligned with the university’s mission to support student achievement and holistic development. This role combines precision with purpose—leveraging data and best practices to maximize efficiency while sustaining initiatives that help students thrive
Develop and prepare budgets for the Assistant Provost and unit leads, analyze financial data to forecast trends, and identify opportunities for improvement. Responsibilities include monitoring budget performance, reporting variances, and recommending solutions that strengthen fiscal health. The coordinator ensures compliance with regulatory standards, manages financial risks, and collaborates with department leaders to promote understanding and adherence to budgetary goals. By utilizing financial software and implementing process improvements, this role supports operational excellence and the flourishing of every student success initiative

Serve as a trusted and approachable point of contact between students, faculty, and administrative departments within the Division of Student Success and Flourishing. Develop clear and engaging updates for the Assistant Provost, using data to demonstrate program impact and recommend enhancements. Additionally, this position will design and implement creative marketing strategies to raise awareness of Student Success and Flourishing initiatives. By leveraging digital platforms, newsletters, and campus events, the coordinator will ensure that every student knows where to find help and opportunities for growth

Required

Strong understanding of student development and retention strategies
Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Argos, Pyramid) and student success platforms (e.g., Education Cloud, Marketing Cloud)
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Ability to lead and mentor student workers and interns
Advanced communication skills for collaboration across departments and creating marketing strategies
Competence in Microsoft Office Suite and financial software for budget tracking
Analytical and critical thinking skills for problem-solving and program evaluation
Experience working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to respond to high-pressure situations. Ability to thrive in an environment of hard work
Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
Bachelor's degree in Education, Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, or a related field
Up to 1 year of experience in higher education, student success programming, academic advising, or related fields. Internship, part-time experience in student support services, program coordination, or office administration or advance degree in degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Organizational Leadership, or related discipline will be considered

Preferred

Master's degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Organizational Leadership, or related discipline
Experience with student engagement initiatives, data tracking, or event coordination in an academic setting
Familiarity with student success platforms and data tools (e.g., Education Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Slate, Argos, Pyramid)
