Vice President of Supply Chain
Gibraltar Industries is seeking a Vice President of Supply Chain to provide enterprise-level leadership and strategic oversight of supply chain operations. This role involves aligning production planning, inventory strategy, and distribution to enhance customer service and cost efficiency while leading teams to build resilient systems.

Responsibilities
Ensure production schedules align with customer demand, capacity constraints, labor availability, and inventory targets
Drive forecast accuracy improvements through close partnership with Sales, Operations, and Finance
Balance short-term execution with long-term capacity and network planning
Own enterprise inventory strategy, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods across all locations
Drive optimization of inventory turns, days on hand, and days working capital while maintaining service level commitments
Implement and govern inventory policies (safety stock, reorder points, lot sizing) grounded in data and demand variability
Lead annual physical inventory, cycle count accuracy, obsolescence mitigation, and slow-moving inventory reduction initiatives
Oversee strategic sourcing, supplier performance, and risk management, including international suppliers and extended lead-time materials
Strengthen supplier partnerships to improve cost, quality, delivery, and continuity of supply
Lead cost-reduction initiatives through sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and total cost of ownership analysis
Develop and ensure performance of material costs in annual budgets and operating plans that support the business objectives, driving cost savings projects that continue to improve margins
Develop contingency and resiliency plans for geopolitical, logistics, and supply disruptions
Provide executive oversight of 3rd party warehousing, material handling prior to shipping, and outbound transportation across all plant locations
Ensure efficient flow of materials into production
Drive improvements in on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery, freight optimization, and cost control
Champion continuous improvement in layout, automation, and systems to support scale and growth
Lead, coach, and develop Supply Chain Managers at each plant location, fostering accountability and collaboration across sites
Build a unified supply chain operating model while respecting site-specific needs and constraints
Establish clear expectations, performance metrics, and development plans for direct reports
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional partnership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field; Master's degree preferred
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing supply chain environments, including multi-site responsibility
Demonstrated success leading S&OP/IBP, inventory optimization, and international sourcing strategies
Strong financial acumen with experience managing working capital, cost targets, and forecasting
Proven ability to lead and develop senior-level supply chain leaders across locations
Strategic thinker with a strong execution mindset
Data-driven decision maker who translates insight into action
Trusted cross-functional partner to Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Finance
Change leader who builds systems, capability, and bench strength
