Converting Procurement Operations Regional Sourcing Lead

Responsibilities
Oversee procurement activities at 30+ converting facilities within an assigned region. Total spend at assigned facilities is $250MM+
Functionally manage/direct Third Party Procurement resources for assigned regions
Collaborate with plant stakeholders and third party Procurement resources to ensure timely processing of submitted requisitions and execution of bid activities, adherence to sourcing policies and procedures, compliance with Global Sourcing Agreements, and maximum value creation through sourcing activities
Train and coach third party Procurement employees and Plant Stakeholders on IP policies and proper procurement practices. Act as point of escalation for sourcing questions and issues
Ensure utilization of proper procurement systems and requisition channels for optimal work efficiency
Perform sourcing functions for high dollar purchase requirements (> $100,000) within the region
Deliver value by identification and implementation of regional or local contracts and leverage opportunities to realize significant savings on an annual basis. Execute larger scale sourcing events for the Converting business as assigned
Execute all phases of sourcing for defined categories including vendor identification, development of bid packages, negotiations, contracting and implementation planning
Recommend new suppliers based on quality, service, and competitive pricing. Ensure new suppliers meet contractor qualification requirements and are set up in the system
Collaborate with plant stakeholders, third party Procurement resources, Corporate Sourcing Leads and Source to improve contract utilization through contract training and visibility, increased SAP price broadcast and outline agreement coverage, expanded catalog offerings and supplier performance management
Implement, monitor and sustain process improvements as required by Procurement and Regional KPI’s
Achieve annual savings, compliance and other objectives as set by Procurement Operations Leadership
Develop, foster, and maintain team relationships
Must be able to wear any and all required personal protective equipment as required by plant and work environments
Position will require travel estimated at 20-40%
Qualification
Required
Microsoft Suite – Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Outlook, Power BI
SAP, Business Warehouse
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Proven skills in bidding, negotiating, and administering contracts and agreements
Significant experience in procurement and commercial practices
Working knowledge and understanding of accounting and internal controls
Knowledge of maintenance/operations planning processes
Knowledge of inventory and materials management practices
Knowledge of contracts, commercial terms, business law
Knowledge of Global Procurement and Financial Policies and Procedures
Must be able to work multiple projects simultaneously
Must be able to travel up to 40%

A BS/BA degree in Management, Supply Chain, Finance, or Engineering is required, equivalent related experience will be considered

Procurement, Storeroom or related experience with 5 – 10 years preferred
3+ years experience working in an industrial manufacturing operation preferred
