Responsibilities
Lead project planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure seamless execution of civil construction projects
Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocations using construction management software
Oversee daily construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, schematics, blueprints, and contract specifications
Collaborate with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to facilitate effective communication and problem-solving
Review and interpret technical drawings including schematics and blueprint reading to verify compliance with project requirements
Utilize tools for document control, RFIs (Requests for Information), process pay apps, submittals, and progress tracking
Ensure quality control through regular site inspections and adherence to project schedules using project scheduling techniques
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; PE (Professional Engineer) license required
Proven experience managing civil construction projects with a strong background in construction site supervision
Proficiency with civil engineering software including Ajera, Civil 3D, Construction management software tools, and project scheduling platforms
Extensive knowledge of construction estimating processes, quantity take-offs, calculations and contract administration
Ability to read complex blueprints and schematics accurately; familiarity with contracts is essential
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
Strong communication skills for clear coordination among team members and stakeholders
Hands-on experience with drainage systems, roadway infrastructure, stormwater management, land development and other similar civil projects is required
Must have the following FDOT Certifications
CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I
CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II
CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection - Level II
FDOT Intermediate or Advanced MOT
