InternGEI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a motivated intern for their Wakefield, MA office to assist with projects throughout the U.S. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn from senior staff while working on various environmental projects.
Civil Engineering
Responsibilities
Under supervision of the senior staff, work on a variety of environmental projects
Assist with the implementation of subsurface and remedial investigations and environmental site assessments, observe test boring and monitoring well installations, and collect groundwater, sediment, surface water, and air samples
Assist with data management and analysis and prepare field documentation and reports
Qualification
Required
Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills required, strong computer skills with technical analysis software
Ability to perform field work in active constructions sites year-round without restrictions, and in inclement weather if required
Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle to use for field visits
Willingness to travel on temporary assignments and to work overtime as needed
A minimum of 2 to 3 years in a technical degree program, preferably geology, environmental science, or civil/environmental engineering
