The role involves reading blueprints, sourcing materials, welding, and performing inspections to contribute to the success of the production team.

Responsibilities
Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project
Sourcing the material to be used in the project
Measuring and cutting material to specifications
Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together
Assist in production of product and cycle counting
Works with conventional and precision measuring instruments
Performs process inspection, certification, and documentation
Performs material handling, receiving, and shipping duties
Maintains welding equipment through maintenance activities
Qualification
Required
Able to pass various welding certifications tests
Skilled at grinding, as well as operating and maintaining machinery
Finishes product through use of various manual and power grinding tools
Perform routine maintenance on grinding equipment
Possess the practical & technical knowledge required to perform the job
Basic math ability and understanding of mechanical principles used in sheet
Previous experience with metal fabrication
Soft skills such as strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of quality control procedure
