National Director of Sales

The National Director of Sales is responsible for driving overall sales performance and growth across the United States, leading a team of Business Development Managers, and developing comprehensive sales strategies to align with business objectives.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets
Lead, coach, and manage regional sales teams to optimize performance and professional development
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, and finance to align sales initiatives with company goals
Monitor sales metrics and prepare detailed reports for executive leadership to inform strategic decisions
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to drive customer satisfaction and retention
Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure efficient operations
Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance team effectiveness
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
Minimum of 8 years of progressive sales experience with at least 3 years in a senior sales leadership role
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a national or multi-regional capacity
Strong knowledge of sales principles, Salesforce, and sales analytics
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Able to travel up to 75% of the time
Preferred
Master's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline
Experience in B2B Group Health Insurance Sales and or related industry
Familiarity with advanced sales technologies and data-driven sales strategies
Demonstrated success in managing large, geographically dispersed sales teams
Professional certifications related to sales management or leadership
