New GradCynet Systems is a company seeking a Trainee Laboratory Technician to perform laboratory testing, quality assurance, and technical support. This role involves developing technical expertise in additive selection and fluid design while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
Perform quality control testing on cement slurries and additives, including viscosity, stability, filter press, thickening time, compressive strength, and water quality analysis
Prepare laboratory reports and technical presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring cleanliness and safe operation
Collect samples of chemical additives for pilot testing
Operate medium-duty machinery such as forklifts or pallet jacks as needed
Perform risk analysis before tasks to identify and mitigate safety or quality concerns
Participate in HSE and quality initiatives, wearing appropriate PPE and following safety protocols
Assist Design/Technical Engineers and Product Champions with technical support tasks
Support other departments when workload requires
Maintain current safety certifications and submit risk reports using online tools
Participate in service quality meetings and contribute to action plans for performance improvement
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Willingness to learn specialized skills in oil and gas cement fluid design, quality control, and lab operations
Familiarity with Microsoft operating systems and Office applications
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
Ability to work rotating day/night shifts and adapt to schedule changes
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening
Preferred
Exposure to technical tasks, laboratory practices, or O&G environment is a plus
