Responsibilities
Apply HVAC and refrigeration knowledge to propose and develop new product concepts
Design components and systems using CAD tools and ensure technical viability through calculations and simulations
Select and specify appropriate components to meet applicable industry standards and regulatory codes
Review and interpret product safety standards such as CE and UL, and ensure their application in system-level design
Perform engineering calculations to support product design decisions
Prepare technical presentations and support internal and external communication of product data
Create and maintain engineering documentation such as drawings, specifications, test reports, and BOMs
Develop technical data sheets, performance documentation, and other materials to support marketing and the representative network
Participate in building and evaluating prototypes to verify performance and feasibility
Contribute to the creation and execution of test plans and analyze results for design refinement
Provide technical support during lab testing and field evaluations, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Support validation activities to ensure products meet internal and global regulatory standards
Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, production, marketing, and sales, to support product development goals
Coordinate with international stakeholders and suppliers to ensure global alignment on design, quality, and timelines
Liaise with suppliers to evaluate part availability, performance, and quality
Support cost feasibility analysis by working with sales and production on material selection and assembly options
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
Apply HVAC and refrigeration knowledge to propose and develop new product concepts. (Very Important)
Perform engineering calculations to support product design decisions. (Very Important)
5 years of experience in HVAC, chiller, or refrigeration product development
Working knowledge of refrigeration cycles, component selection, and system integration
Familiarity with safety and compliance standards, including CE, UL, and other global regulations
Experience with prototyping, lab testing, and data analysis
Ability to support field testing and provide technical troubleshooting
Strong team player with cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration skills
