Responsibilities
Own and articulate the vision for our core e-commerce services
Work with product and business leaders to identify and drive forward new capabilities, and create a roadmap that clearly prioritizes work based on customer and business value
Act as a true partner to our engineering teams
Use your technical acumen to understand our APIs and architecture, validate functionality to sign off on stories, and provide clear, actionable feedback so the team can move quickly
Write robust requirements, manage and prioritize the product backlog in Jira, and work intimately with our engineering teams to deliver and test high-quality software
Build strong relationships with key business partners and stakeholders, articulating product needs clearly to diverse audiences
Influence strategy for your domain and provide guidance to the team
Identify, measure, and analyze results to validate your product strategy and find new opportunities for improvement
Qualification
Required
Proven track record in an e-commerce environment
Experience designing and implementing large-scale platforms
Experience with APIs and complex capabilities that power modern e-commerce
Strong technical acumen
Ability to drive the strategy for the core technical architecture of a product
Ability to influence and debate solutions with engineers
Ability to understand technical tradeoffs
Ability to validate API functionality
Ability to assess complex situations and analyze data
Ability to make clear judgments to recommend solutions and define a long-term vision
Ability to gauge what will add the most value and prioritize accordingly
Deep experience working with large software engineering teams
Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience handling multiple complex products simultaneously
Ability to influence strategy and guide teams toward a common goal
