InternHeritage Pool Supply Group, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Intern to support daily transportation operations and contribute to data-driven improvements. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to logistics coordination, carrier communication, and transportation performance analytics in a fast-paced supply chain environment.

Responsibilities
Support day-to-day transportation operations by assisting with shipment scheduling and coordination to ensure on-time delivery
Track shipments, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate updates with internal teams, customers, carriers, and drivers
Help troubleshoot delivery delays, missed pickups, and other transportation exceptions while supporting daily administrative tasks within transportation systems (TMS or similar tools)
Support data collection, analysis, and reporting efforts by building and maintaining Excel trackers and dashboards using tools such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
Monitor key performance indicators including on-time pickup and delivery, carrier compliance, cost per shipment, and service exceptions
Identify trends and recurring issues, provide reporting summaries, and support continuous improvement initiatives by making data-driven recommendations to leadership
Qualification
Required
Strong interest in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or operations
Highly analytical and detail-oriented mindset
Strong Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP required)
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Problem-solving approach to operational challenges
Professional, customer-service-oriented communication style
Ability to provide an unofficial transcript
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, Analytics, or a related field
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Comfortable working with data, systems, and reporting tools
Willingness to learn Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and transportation processes
Strong organization, documentation, and time management skills
