Responsibilities
Own and evolve risk adjustment analytics products, including:
Suspecting & chase prioritization
RAF forecasting and opportunity scoring
Coding & documentation impact logic
Design and validate algorithms and rules used to:
Generate member and provider chase lists
Stratify outreach based on likelihood, impact, confidence, and recency
Justify decision-tree and rules-based logic used in risk adjustment workflows
Review and validate RAF calculations, HCC selection/suppression, and coding outputs
Run and validate SQL queries to investigate anomalies, trends, and client questions
Ensure reports and dashboards are logically sound, defensible, and audit-ready
Act as a client-facing product authority, able to explain why the model made a decision
Partner deeply with engineering, analytics, and delivery teams to ship correct, scalable solutions
Support UAT, regression testing, and output certification before client release
Qualification
Required
5+ years in Risk Adjustment analytics or product roles (MA required; ACA strongly preferred)
Direct experience building or owning suspecting models or chase prioritization logic
Direct experience building or owning rules-based or hybrid (rules + ML) RA analytics
Ability to explain and defend why a member/provider was chased
Ability to explain and defend what inputs were used
Ability to explain and defend how confidence, impact, and probability were calculated
Strong understanding of CMS-HCC models (MA and/or HHS-HCC)
Strong understanding of RAF mechanics, hierarchy, interactions, recency
Hands-on ability to write and validate SQL
Hands-on ability to review row-level outputs
Hands-on ability to debug incorrect results
Preferred
Experience designing decision trees or rule engines for RA workflows
Experience with RADV, audit support, or regulator-facing analytics
Background in analytics-led product development (not just feature PM work)
Experience working directly with health plan analytics or risk teams
