Working on a docket of first- and third-party insurance coverage cases
Drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and motions
Participating in mediations
Communicating and negotiating with attorneys for policyholders and claimants
Talking with and reporting to clients, which include large insurance carriers
Attending hearings and, depending on experience, taking depositions
Qualification
Required
Two years' litigation experience
Strong legal research and writing skills
Detail is important in what we do
Reading insurance policies is part of the job
Preferred
Prior insurance coverage work is a plus
Willing and eager to learn about insurance coverage
Being a law nerd
Knowledge of the Federal Rules
